The swim team defeated Hargrave, New Covenant and Southwest Virginia Home School on Friday night. We were narrowly defeated by VES. With this first big meet under our belt, team morale is good and the swimmers are encouraging one another to put in that extra effort to convert those second place finishes to first place ones

1st Place Finishers:
200 Free Relay – The team of Ryan Argueta (Senior – College Park, MD), Gavin Senger (Sophomore – Harrisonburg, VA), Bryson Overton (Senior – Sanford, NC), and Gavin Flanagan (Senior – Centreville, VA) qualified for the State meet by .01 of a second.
200 Free – Wesley Loe (Junior – Silverdale, WA) took first.
Second Place Finishers
200 Medley Relay – Loe, Senger, Argueta,
and Overton teamed up for the Silver
50 Free – Flanagan
100 Fly – Flanagan
100 Free – Argueta
100 Back – Loe
100 Breaststroke – Senger (swimming a PR and dropping nearly 14 second off last year’s time)
3rd Place Finisher:
500 Free – Michael Liu (Freshman – Potomac, MD)
